Declan McKenna is an experimental animator based in Portland, Oregon.

He is a self portrait animator. His art focuses on material and texture, queer identity, and non-linear storylines.

His work has been shown across the world which makes him very happy. He has spoken at animation conferences about using animation to visualize science and the methodological deveopment of abstract editorial content.

He currently works at LAIKA animation studios as a replacement animation tester and face librarian, and graduated from the maryland institute college of art.
