Declan McKenna is an experimental animator based in Portland.
His art focuses on materiality, queer identity, and the deconstruction of linear understandings of self.
His work has been shown across the world which makes him very happy. He has spoken at animation conferences about his work using animation to visualize science and the methodological deveopment of abstract editorial content.
He currently works at LAIKA animation students as a replacement animation tester and face librarian, and graduated from the maryland institute college of art.
